The New Guy

Okay I have been at this position for a whole 3 months now. The person I have taken over for is retiring in a couple months and is supposidly not the Point of contact for anything anymore. I love that, You need something you get used to dealing with me now. Problem, Everyone still calls, emails and uses his name for everything. I got an email today from the head of the IT Division Titled, "Dru you need to do your Job!!!" The great thing is I have been in this business long enough to know you need a paper trail. I forwarded him 28 emails within 4 minutes. All emails trying to get information with no responces. About 2 hours later he sent a message to all employees in the IT Division titled, "DAVE RETIRED, DRU IS THE GUY NOW!!!" Inside his email he told everyone that they are making themselves look bad by not using my knowledge and experience. Within minutes people started getting the information to me. It was a great day... Stress in the morning with a "Great Job, Thanks" email at the end of the day.
